Currently, the delegation has arrived at state House in Banjul to commence the talks. ECOWAS troops are said to have already entered the country and information says there were skirmises at the President’s residence in his home village of Kanilai last night which have died down. Diplomacy for him to leave has already commenced failure of which the ECOWAS forces would advance to the largest urban settlement, Serekunda, a suberb 8 kilometers from of the capital, Banjul. The good thing about it is that the regular troops are not in support of the outgoing president but are protecting important institutions and private properties and little to do with the movement of people going about their normal businesses.
