QUESTION OF THE DAY

WHY ARE ARMED PERSONNEL BARRICADED AT STRATEGIC LOCATIONS?

http://www.foroyaa.gm/archives/13216

At many strategic locations in the Greater Banjul Area armed personnel barricade themselves as in a military situation. The personnel are mainly from the National Guard but they also include a number some Police Intervention Unit personnel.
The personnel don’t seem to interfere with the activities of civilians and do not operate check points but they seem to be alert to any would be attacker. Foroyaa will find out from the military authorities what is going on.
