In the UK there are circumstances where AN INQUEST MUST BE HELD below are a couple of links that will show you how this works in the U.K. The Coroner "the Coroner as we know him today dates from September 1194. For it was instigated almost eight hundred years ago, during the reign of Richard the Lionheart."

Worked very well but politicos thought by 2009 they better get a bit more power back, these fellows can LAWFULLY do almost everything to carry out their duties.

The American system is modified from the UK version and varies,I did ask some time ago in a topic if Gambia had a coroner,as usual silence,so I don't know to this day what the situation is in Gambia. Somebody POST and tell US, sorry I mean me, I feel alone here recently.
