Posted - 22 Aug 2014 : 13:19:02 Reading this article published by Foroyaa,I got the impression that the events portrayed in the first paragraph actually occurred at a legally constituted Court in the Gambia. If I am correct then "sentisation" of the Judiciary is OBVIOUSLY needed. I have highlighted below the constitution rule outlined in the article that applies, however such an event may never have happened and this is just a political reminder of how things should be when a Gambian Court is in session
"Age and health should be considered when accused persons are to request to sit or stand in a witness box. Presumption of innocence dictates that standing in the dock should not symbolise guilt or punishment."
