Fagbenle as acting head of the Judiciary, a press release from the presidency has announced Thursday evening.[/b] “The General Public is hereby informed that His Excellency, the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh, acting under the Provisions of Section 141 subsection 2 © has with effect from Monday 3rd February 2014 relieved Justice Mabel Agyemang of her appointment as Chief Justice of the Republic of The Gambia. The General Public is further informed that His Excellency, the President Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh, acting under the powers vested in him under section 140 of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia has appointed Justice Emmanuel O.
