Gambia Police Force on Wednesday announced that a piece of land has been purchased for Gina to be built to completion and handed over to her in honor of her accomplishment.
According to the Poliso Magazine, Sub Inspector Gina Bass was received at the Police Headquarters today Wednesday 12th August 2021, by Deputy Inspector General of Police Momodou Sowe and the Police High Command.
DIGP Sowe on behalf of the IGP welcomed SI Gina to the GPF HQ, noting that the entire GPF and the nation as a whole are proud of the terrific performance she did at the Tokyo Olympics, the Police added.
DIG Sowe concluded by announcing that a piece of land has been purchased for Gina to be built to completion and handed over to her in honor of her accomplishment. He said this gesture is necessitated by Gina’s excellent representation of the country.

Gina Bass Is Conquering Europe !!!
Silver Medal at the European Continental Tour in Prague on Monday in 200m with timing of 22.76.
Another Silver Medal today at the Marseille Meeting in France in 100m with season best of 11.21.

Gina Bass lost the women’s 200m Gold Medal chase at the Prague Meeting to Christine Mboma. The Namibian set a new meet record at the Josef Odlozil Memorial in Prague on Monday evening when she won the 200m in 22,67 seconds.
Right from the beginning, Gina Bass took the lead with Beatrice Masilingi lying second, going into the home straight.
However, Mboma, who had a poor start, closed the gap on the leaders, and in a final surge, managed to pip Bass to the line.
Mboma gave a great final burst of speed to snatch the gold medal from Gina Bass of the Gambia, who came second in 22,76 seconds, while Mboma’s compatriot Beatrice Masilingi won the bronze medal in 22,82 seconds.
Her time was a new personal best and a new Namibian record, beating Masilingi’s previous mark of 22,72 seconds that she set in Lusaka on 10 April this year.
She also set a new record for the meeting after breaking the previous record of 22,74 seconds that Stephanie Durst of the United States set in 2007.
The Namibians’ performances will raise their international profiles as they prepare for the Olympic Games next month. |
