Combating Coronavirus
Follow the Corona Dollars!

Even before the World Bank approves this 10 million US dollars grant today the IMF had, since last week already approved a whopping $47.1 million for The Gambia Government to deal with the Coronavirus! This was March 23.
But this is information The Gambia Government did not talk much about until now. One would have thought that this IMF loan would have surfaced in the National Assembly agenda for today’s session. But it did not.
So right now The Gambia Government has $57.1 million in its hands to combat Coronavirus!
57.1 million US dollars! This amounts to 2,886,740,000 billion dalasi at today’s official exchange rate.
Let me repeat for purposes clarity, it is 2.8 billion Gambian dalasi!
