In my opinion this is a matter that should be looked into by the administration as a matter of urgency,it must be remembered that investigations into cases does take time.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Many people are writing letters to enquire about prisoners who were given long sentences that were incomparable to the crimes committed and others who have not appeared in court as expected to request for their release. The state has promised to look into the situation of all these prisoners Foroyaa has also been reporting on detention without Trial which should capture the attention of the Executive and one would expect the Executive would issue a directive for the decongestion of all prisons by releasing prisoners and detainees. This would be in line with the expectation of many Gambians who would want a government that promotes forgiveness.

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.
