The appalling conditions of Mile two needs to end. The prisoners are kept in absolute squallor. It is amazing there hasn't been an out break of discentry or cholera there. Hygiene standards are none existent. The stench inside can only be discribed as being comparable to the bowels of a slave ship. Just imagine People have to live and breathe in fowl are in damp dark filthy conditions. For a state owned facility Mile Two is disgraceful and unfit for human habitation. Prisoners need to be detained else where until it is fumigated and given the necessary restoration it needs to bring it up to a decent standard. The Prisoners labour can be used in this regard where appriopriate. Giving them the opportunity to utilise and or learn new skills.Gambia needs to look into rehabilitation of eligible prisoners. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4GFvNwmMuw
