You want a sign to advertise your shop ,enterprise,whatever on the side of the highway ,tell us what you want, pay the "Fee" then we authorise you.
Roads Authority warns against “illegal advertisement”

The National Roads Authority (NRA) has warned against what it called “illegal advertisement by unscrupulous individuals/institutions” along highways without authorisation, and stressed that those engaging in this are strongly advised come forward and regualarise status with the Authority.
In a press release to this paper, the Authority stated: “As enshrined in The Gambia Roads & Technical Services Authority Act 2003, the National Roads Authority is legally responsible for the Administration, Control and Maintenance of Roads, Highway Bridges, Embankments and all associated access to all roads and their environments. In addition, the NRA has been mandated for the licensing and approving of all Advertising Boards, Posters, Signs, Symbols and all advertisement paraphernalia placed or to be placed along any Road or Highway corridor in The Gambia.
The General Public is hereby informed that, it has come to the notice of the National Roads Authority that some unscrupulous person and institutions are placing advertising Boards and Highways are strongly advised to come to the NRA and register before such Boards and Advertising materials are place along the road corridor. The NRA is hereby informing all that failure to register such illegal Advertising Boards would lead to the removal/ demolition of such materials at the expense of offending party.
Further, the NRA reserves the right to take legal action against such illegal practices and as such all and sundry are hereby urged to register their Bill Board, Posters or Advertisement placed along the highway with NRA to avoid Legal Action taken against them.
We therefore solicit the full cooperation of all parties”.
