A bit unfair this article, I suspect that MRC and Ministry of Health are reluctant to make public the progress in EBOLA Vaccine development until it's effectiveness has been verified,to give false hope to people and be overwhelmed by many many people who want to be vaccinated would not be a good way to go, rest assured when a tested workable vaccine is available in bulk those concerned with the clinical trials and political kudos will be shouting their discovery from the rooftops.
WHY THE SILENCE OVER MRC? EditorOctober 21, 2014
Foroyaa has been contacting the Department of State for Health and the MRC to find out the status of the Ebola vaccine and to further ascertain whether anything has changed in the operations of the medical research institution.
So far all lips are tight. We are yet to get anyone from either the Government or the MRC to comment. The rumours are rife but we would not want to spread them. In the absence of a Press Release from Government and MRC or a parliamentary question from a bold member of Parliament, the air is still polluted with rumour.
MRC is a major institution whose potential in the promotion of tropical medicine has not been fully tapped. The Gambia could be a major centre for International research in tropical medicine which could have given the medical school a boost in the quality and relevance of the education it delivers.
The authorities should grant interviews or issue Press Release to clarify the issue of the Ebola Vaccine and the status of the MRC.

Take a look at this.
SMALL SNIPPET:
"As the driver releases the door, paramedics, seemingly wrapped in layers of plastic from head to toe, run on board and seal an elderly woman into the same sort of protective gear. Panicked passengers rush to flee any which way into the night, jostling and tripping over each other in their haste, shouting warnings to get away. The patient is lifted into one of several waiting ambulances and the vehicle speeds away, lights flashing, sirens screaming."
