Ameen! Ramadan Mubarak to Everyone. May Allah (SWT) accept our fasting and supplications.

The Ceesays must be finding their usual excuses not to fast but there is no escape.

A clear conscience fears no accusation - proverb from Sierra Leone

"The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the Criterion (between right and wrong.)"

"The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed in the Qur'an, guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. 2:185 Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) - ;"

"The Arabic word for "fasting" (sawm) literally means "to refrain" - and it means not only refraining from food and drink, but from evil actions, thoughts, and words. During Ramadan, every part of the body must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful things. The hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. Every part of the body observes the fast. "

A MONTH TO OBSERVE FULL STRICT DISCIPLINE, OF PRAYER, READING QURAN, SHARING LOVE & GIVING CHARITY; INCREASING IMAAN!

'Imaan' is an Arabic name where its true definition means, 'hope' or 'faith'.

Dua (Prayer) of Fasting AT THE BEGINNING & END : A person's intention when fasting, is to bring him/herself closer to God.

  • Dua (Prayer) at the Beginning of the Fast :

Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri ramadan

I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan

  • Dua (Prayer) at the End of the Fast :

Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa alayka tawakkaltu wa ala rizq-ika-aftartu

O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance

MAY ALL OUR PRAYERS ANSWERED AND WE BENEFIT FROM THIS RAMADAN ALL REWARDS (BLESSINGS) FROM ALLAH "SHT"! Ameen

WE (ESPECIALLY MUSLIMS) MUST UNDERSTAND CERTAIN RELIGIOUS WORDS/TERMS AND HOW DERIVED (ETYMOLOGY) TO CLEAR MISCONCEPTIONS, UNDERSTAND SEMBLANCE OF USAGE, AVOID CONFUSION AND DISORIENTATION BY MEDIA PROPAGANDA BECAUSE MANY OF THEM ARE USED BY BOTH CHRISTIANS & MUSLIMS BUT TAUGHT DIFFERENTLY AND DIFFERENT IN MEANINGS & UNDERSTANDING; IN VARIOUS BOOKS AND LITERATURE.

CHRISTIANITY EXISTED BEFORE ISLAM AND MANY ARE WESTERN WORDS/CONCEPTS/TERMS/MEANINGS AND DIFFERENT FROM EASTERN OR ARABIC WORDS/CONCEPTS/TERMS/MEANINGS; NOTABLY FOLLOWING

1. LORD DEFINED:
  • 1. Lord": one having power and authority over others:

a : a ruler by hereditary right or preeminence to whom service and obedience are due

b : one of whom a fee or estate is held in feudal tenure

c : an owner of land or other real property

d obsolete : the male head of a household

    e : husband

f : one that has achieved mastery or that exercises leadership or great power in some area <a drug lord>"

  • 2. "capitalized

    a : God 1

    b : Jesus"

  • SOUCE

2. GOD DEFINED:
  • 1."God : the perfect and all-powerful spirit or being that is worshipped especially by Christians, Jews, and Muslims as the one who created and rules the universe

: a spirit or being that has great power, strength, knowledge, etc., and that can affect nature and the lives of people : one of various spirits or beings worshipped in some religions

: a person and especially a man who is greatly loved or admired"

  • 2."capitalized : the supreme or ultimate reality: as

a : the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe.

b Christian Science : the incorporeal divine Principle ruling over all as eternal Spirit : infinite Mind.

2 : a being or object believed to have more than natural attributes and powers and to require human worship; specifically : one controlling a particular aspect or part of reality.

3 : a person or thing of supreme value.

    4 : a powerful ruler."

  • SOUCE

3. ALSO TO BE NOTED THESE WORDS OF DR. ZAKIR NAIK:
  • "Brothers Dont say Holy Quran Holy in the arabic language is (transiteration) 'Muqaddas' , And Allaah ta'Alaa has never refered to the Quran as being, Quran-il-Muqaddas, nor will you find in the reliable books of Sunnah Qurana-il-Muqaddas (The Holy Quran). Allaah called the Quran, Quran-il Kareem(Noble Quran), Quran-il Hakeem(The Wise Quran), Quran-il Majid(The Glorious Quran)etc. So in-shaa'Allaah lets refer the Qurran according to the names Allaah had given it, not simply imitating the christians without intending to do so. And Allaah ta'Ala knows best."
