I was shocked and amazed at these words that appeared in The Editorial of The Daily Observer:

"Africans need to be mentally de-colonised and take a firm stance by going back to our culture, which we inherited from our forefathers. It is a matter of fact that we should minimise eating the food that our colonial masters are exporting to us. We have to be mentally strong and refuse some of the food exported to Africa, which may be unhealthy to us. Before the advent of colonialism, Africans were living much healthier and longer lives without suffering from most of the diseases that we are now faced with today."

Distortion of historic facts does not bring food on the table or ease any hardship.
All these are distractions..

I like the wording of your observation Momodou,what you write is very accurate and yes Gambia has plenty distractions
