How will the next Gambian generation look in 2050.

- Is it more like Hip-Hop/RnB, as I definitely see great influence especially in teenagers and urban area?

- We already have a group of people, particularly young man from teen to late 20 with the Rastafarian/Jamaican influence.

- Is it more capitalist, overconsumption, African version of dumb Barbi type blonde, Paris Hilton. (no offense to blondes).

- Conservatives, influenced by the faith of Islam?

- Still preserving African roots and traditions.

Or what else? What is the major cultural influence on Gambian youth?

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.
