I am too busy to edit the translations below. In the mean time, make do with what google translate has to offer.
Conakry, Guinee.
The President of the Republic of Gambia, Yahya Abdul-Prof. Dr. Azziz Yaya Jammeh Jemus Junkung Jammey, is expected to Conakry for a state visit and friendship this Monday, October 18, 2010.
This visit follows one made by his Minister of Foreign Affairs and was received in audience on Saturday, October 16 by the President of the Republic Acting General Konate. Carrying a message from his Head of State, Dr. Mamadou Tangara has defined the purpose of this meeting as follows:"This hearing is in the direction of intensifying relations between The Gambia and the sister Republic of Guinea. I came as a special envoy of the President of the Republic of Gambia, Dr Sheikh Prof. Al Hadji Yahya Jammeh who asked me to convey his greetings to his respectful and fraternal brother, General Konate and to affirm the support of the Gambia. And the Gambia wants everything happening in the peace, stability in the best interests of the nation of Guinea. And that's why he joined the General President to give him every support. "
According to the official press release announcing the visit, the jester Gambian President should meet during his stay, the two candidates vying for the second round of presidential elections in Guinea.
To many observers, this visit would"The work of the Minister of State, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Tibou Kamara, more and more anxious to be given the reins of power by the President of the transition, which is generally Konate power as a burden that he wants to get rid of. "And since his desire is"Put the little Tibou to lead the country", In his own words, even if the RFI journalist knowingly sweet name, news developments in Guinea are no longer a shadow of doubt that this duo-Sékouba Tibou is not far from the people behind the blocking progress.
The weight of Yaya Jammeh in the balance for this transfer of state power - perhaps by decree - to Tibou is possible. The aim is to benefit Sékouba confident, he has nothing to fear leaving in fragile hands Tibou the destinies of the great Guinea. Fatal error calculation. Especially as some analysts accustomed to decode the words of diplomats, were they experienced, were quick to interpret the last words of cynical Interview Gambian diplomat, envoy in Konate Yaya Jammeh:"Maybe the days to come we will build on the content of this message."
Far from heralding the arrival of President Yaya Jammeh in Guinea,"About these provisions would like to announce that The Gambia could be taken to ensure the safety and Tibou Sékouba by Gambian mercenaries or other interposed."
It should be emphasized that relations between Yaya Jammeh Tibou Kamara and derive their legitimacy from a matrimonial home. Indeed, the current First Lady of The Gambia, a Guinean Moroccan Zenab Yaya Jammeh, is the younger sister of Ms. Kamara direct Tibou .-

Yaya Jammeh offers a dowry of 75 million CFA francs to his second wife, his first wife, Zeinab demand divorce
$ 125,000 is 75 million francs, is the amount of the dowry President Yaya Jammeh has offered to his second wife, Alima Sallah. Gambian Government who lives a feud household with his first wife, Zeinab, the Moroccan leader intends to cover his new wife gifts promised to fund brothers Alima through doctoral studies if they wish. It must be said that Zeinab, the first wife of Jammeh, is no longer in Banjul since more than a month. She preferred to go to New York with several guards and maidservants.
Gambian sources, it simply asks divorce "because unwilling share her husband". There are a few years ago, she had managed to break the union between Jammeh and another Gambia. Any, Alima seems to have favoured the predictions in Banjul, because many of Gambian find their current first lady "contempt". This time, Jammeh is not ready to retreat. It would appear that this will take a bit of sorting out to ensure everyone is satisfied. |

Shaka,
Thank you for dishing out this thick beef of information. There is heavy smoke forming into into real fire sooner than anticipated. The little woman Morrocaine-Gueane, Zaynab, has done it!
For all the years since she got over to Gambia, Zaynaba has not been integrated within Gambia. Even the most shrewd sycophants could not get her to embrace the compins. The most we know is all about incubators and prize draws to new year mothers delivered at RVH.
Above all, Yaya deserves being treated with the type Zaynaba turned to be. There is no end to celebrations.

Hi Shaka here is my transliteration of this post. Yaya Jammeh has a dowry of 75 million CFA francs to his second wife, his first wife, Zeinab files for divorce
President Yaya Jammeh has offered his second wife, Alima Sallah 125 000 dollars or 75 million francs in the form of a dowry, which he gave her as a gift to fund Alima's brothers education to PhD, if they so wish.
Gambian Sources have stated that The Gambian Head of State is currently in a domestic dispute with his first wife, Zeinab Jammeh, his Moroccan and Guinean wife, who is no longer in Banjul she left over a month ago. preferring to stay in New York taking with her several guards and servants.
According to Gambian sources Zeinab is simply asking for a divorce because she does not want to share her husband." Ironically a few years ago, it was Zeinab who managed to break the union between Jammeh and his first wife a Gambian. Anyway, it seems that Alima is more favored by Gambians. If predictions in Banjul, the Gambia are to be believed many people find their current first lady "contemptuous".
Sources also claim that this time, Jammeh is not ready to retreat. Despite interventions by religious leaders Gambia. the Moroccan has also remained firm in her decision. And now it is claimed that she wants to confiscate the President's Jammeh's property in Morocco and Guinea to gain custody of their children.

If the reports are true Karamba,
Jammeh seems to smitten with his new wife. So he's got some consolation. Sometimes whether we like it or not divorce is often a blessing in disguise. It just means you have the opportunity to start a new phase of life.

Karamba and Sister O, i think you are way too harsh on Zainab. She might not be your typical limelight hugging wife of a President but she is a very intelligent woman with a smart and well drilled public etiquette. She know very well that as an outsider all eyes of the Gambian public will be on her as First lady and everything she does in public will be scrutinized and doubly magninified. Therefore to avoid being on the bad side of a people who naturally have a cautious trust of her as an ousider she shrewdly shunned the lavish and extravagant public displays that is associated with her husband and the public wealth. I think this is a blessing in disguise for the Gambian people. Just imagine if she was to embrace the Yai Compins and the opportunist groups that surround the Presidency as well as having the penchant for over-generousity of her husband when it comes to dishing out public wealth, then we will be well screwed. If her husband was not a corrupt dictator then for me Zainab would have been a model Firt Lady worthy of emulating. The typical African Predident's wife is a coniving, interfering, arrogant and corruptible woman within the public service and handling public wealth. It is not abnormal to hear that they have a big say in who is employed and fired in the public service as well as what is spent and where, when it comes to the public wealth. How many of you can actually accuse Zainab of such crimes. Cut the Lady a slack. I think she is a decent and upright human being. |

Point taken Shaka. You've beaten me on that note. Your view point on how Zaynabou kept her distance from playing state power is valid. Yes, she played it most shrewd.
Unlike Tuti Faal, first 1st Lady of Jammeh's reign who used to brag about the power and authority of captain Jammeh. In her words, Tuti uttered on national TV.
"I am young, my husband is young. My husband is able to decide and do anything with nothing coming out of it." What Tuti Faal meant was that captain had unlimited access to state resources and total freedom in taking everything his personal possession. By the passage of time, it has come to be that captain Jammeh followed the passion of his first 1st Lady as we can all see by now.
Just before they stayed on robbing the nation as young husband and wife leaders, Tuti was off.
