Sometimes it is easier to see the fault of the other side and blindly ignore our own weaknesses and bias. It is human I guess to suppress our bias either intentionally or out of consciousness or ignorance.

The question I would humbly like to ask each and everyone us is simple:

APRC and Jammeh supporters regardless of the blatant human rights violations and level of corruption on how the president personalize State resources, continue to support him either because of their selfish interest or simply a blind loyalty.

Now, if in fact the UDP/Darboe and or PDOIS/Halifa were in power today, would the supporters of these individuals or parties in fact act the same way and blindly support these people regardless of how terrible their administrations might turn out to be?

Do we sometimes sit down and ponder privately on our support for parties and individuals regardless of the interest of the nation and the people?

If majority of us would in fact do the same thing that we condemn the other side of doing, are we justified in condemning them and do we have the moral fibre to do so?

How many of us will look in the mirror and say I am wrong in supporting this idea and I would speak up?...

I challenge everyone to think about our individual positions and see if we are blindly supporting one side or the other without being true to ourselves?

Just questions to challenge our individual bias. What do you think???

Dbaldeh, the answer to your question(s) lies in two words: "Confirmation bias", if you know what that means.
If you are a registered member of a political party (depending on your level of ommitment to the party) you views of the party are not likely to change much no matter what.
Any new infomation is processed through a prizm (elimination and selection proess) to confirm your pre-existing views.
That is sadly how the human brain works. Many decision making processes are short-circuited based on pre-existing views and beliefs.
This is why parties need to have "codes of onduct" and other canons of ethics like PDOIS . That is what guards against blind following...
