A hard working Gambian man, with hard earned money, buys a Hummer vehicle and ships it to Gambia. But guess what, it's Yahya Jammeh gracing the Gas-guzzler, and all for free. The owner alleges N'dongo tactics, and arm twisting, caused him lose his vehicle to President Yahya AJJ Jammeh, without a penny refunded. The Hummer cost him 80,000 euro or 2.9 million dallasi in 2004.
I'm dumbfounded................................................................................................................lol!

This is an old story, toubab1020. The matter is just resurfacing, with the owner of the Hummer giving an interview, voluntarily on Radio Freedom. It's playing in a loop.

Hi Bros. Kita, Karamba et al,
The story as narated by Alaji Betty is a touching one. I was equally dumb-founded. I didn't observe any hitch from Alagi, so I believe his' remains an unhealed wound. If for anything, this one is sad. I hope he gets compensated for his belonging fully.

Like you said, the story has been around for a while well before freedom published it. I have no reason to doubt its authenticity. I think it is a very sad one.

| I was clearing a container and some vehicles when upon entering the large store where some vehicles are packed, than the brand new Hummer(H2)in question caught my attention.I went nearer to inspect the H2 closely when my Agent, told me that the H2 has been sent by a guy residing in the Netherlands(Holland) but that the President has sent some people to inspect the vehicle for he has develop an interest in it.I saw the said guys`dad sitting around the area a few times and i even know the person who drove the Hummer to statehouse..I have however once read on this medium or another back in 2005/6 that the guy claimed to not have been paid.While in the Gaambia,i saw jammeh riding in the H2 around "traffic light"just a few days after i saw the Hummer been driven off the ports premises..If the Guys asasertions are true,then he has been cheated by the president big time! |
