According to Kassa Jatta, Yaya Jammeh has not inherited any wealth. In fact, he was born and endured the most acute hardship imposed by poverty. Jatta who lives in Bakau where the woman Asombi Bojang known as Jammeh's mother also lived, had seen the old woman in bad times.
By the time of Jammeh's 22 July 1994 coup, Jatta accounts that the old woman lived in an incomplete building without windows somewhere in a Bakau neighbourhood.
Like many curious and concerned Gambians, Jatta believes that Yaya Jammeh could only get this amount of wealth by corruption of higher scale. Do you agree with Jatta? Read on:

Kobo,
Does that suggest that Dodou Kassa is not entitled to his personal opinion? Or may be he is not reflecting the truth. I am just curious.
Perceptions on Jammeh relate as the story of six blind men with an elephant. The one that landed on the leg thought the elephant is so big as tree trunk. The one that held the elephant's tail thought the elephant is small as a tail. The one who touched the whole body took it that the elephant is wide as a wall.
It appears that Jammeh is perceived from different angles and that is why APRC wingers claim rights too in promoting their man. |

I adored the man(Mr Jatta) for his bravery and speaking his mind without fear. His outspokeness against Jammeh is equivalent to digging one's own grave in the gambia of today.I am sure if we have many like him, things will be different by now. |

THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS, IS THAT IT THEN?
Where that leaves us is the moral ground that no matter what one does to get rich, just get rich and do what you wish to do in the end.
Others will disagree that THE MEANS JUSTIFIES THE END, meaning we have to mind about how we get rich and not just choose to be rich as an end.
Interesting thinking though. By extension, some people will kill, steal, tell lies, corrupt, fornicate, rob, do whatever it takes just to get the end good even if the means were to be that bad. |
