During a recent visit back home, I have observed that there was not a single question about mobile phones by custom officers at the airport and things were orderly done. The police also never asked for any money for ataya at the numerous check points along the highway to the provinces. So perhaps attitudes are changing or it’s just a coincidence.?

Ah.....maybe attitudinal change,........progress development? or perhaps if the ataya tax is requested, 6 months in Mile Two for you! if a complain is recieved.
