British banks may take their hefty profits and run straight out of the country with them...I dont defend that...British banks make massive profits at ordinary peoples expense.  BUT they dont steal the money of ordinary people. I have met several Gambians whose life savings are frozen in Nigerian banks in Gambia. This bank is being investigated for corruption. I dont know the banks name. |

ok, i think thats just a rumour and not true. no nigerian bank is freezing anyone's money. there are only two and they and not under investigation. i doubt it. the bank you seem to be talking about is not a nigerian bank. |

Njuks is right. There is only one bank under finacial investigations and i think the central bank is dealing with the complaints. |

i never even know there was a british bank in gambia what is it called, is under the main banner of the main ones in UK, HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays etc. do you have any more information on this.
