This again from the D.O. maybe the Americans will give The Gambia more money to invest in projects ,there again they might not.

The Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh Wednesday afternoon received in audience at his Kanilai residence a group of investors from Exim Bank and Financial Brief in Florida United States.

The officials were led to President Jammeh's Kanilai residence by the Gambia's ambassador-at-large, Ebrima JT Kujabi, and Professor John Kester of the Shaw University in North Carolina.Speaking to reporters shortly after having audience with the president, Professor John Kester, who spoke on behalf of the investors, said their discussion with the Gambian leader centered on investment opportunities in the country.

"The president is interested in developing The Gambia with foreign partners. And on this capacity, I have come with Exim Bank of US and the Financial Brief from Florida to discuss with him the way forward on how to develop the country," he said.

He further revealed that the president has issued a mandate to form a taskforce committee with a view to discuss with the US team on the way forward.He extolled the Gambian leader's ambition, stating that he is on the spot and very determined to get the country moving forward.Also speaking to reporters, Ambassador Ebrima JT Kujabi said the team is in the country on a fact-finding mission.
