I think its one of the best annual self-assessment or personal tax on wealth (MINIMUM 2.5%) best allocated to the needy; controls greed, selfishness and poverty alleviation came from this ISLAMIC INTERPRETATION OF CONCEPT OF ALMS GIVING AND WHAT CONSTITUTES PROPER CHARITY.
I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANYTHING LIKE IT IN CAPITALISM SYSTEMS AND BETTER THAN CERTAIN PERSONAL SPENDINGS IN FREE MARKET SYSTEMS; FOR EXAMPLE BUYING A WORKS OF ART (PAINTINGS OR PORTRAITS) FOR MILLIONS WHILST THE MASSES ARE DYING OF POVERTY, HUNGER & DECEASE AND YOU ARE HEARTLESS TO TAKE ONLY MINIMUM 2.5% FOR HUMANITARIAN REASONS .
AM WITH THE CONVICTION THAT BANTABA RELIGION FORUM IS VERY USEFUL FOR INTER-FAITH DISCUSSION RATHER THAN CERTAIN CHEAP SHOTS AND SENSELESS ARGUMENTS 
I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO POST ON THIS TOPIC & AVOIDING DISCUSSIONS THAT DERAILED TOPIC AND THE POLITICISING OF RELIGION.

Back to the subject.
Islam has good intention with the zakat and nafaka. Zakat is your mandator duty to give poor. There is nothing objectible and Islam should be given credit for it. Nafaka also volunteery action which is good. But what I don't like about charity is that when it becames organizational which could cause corruption, inefficiency. Wheather church and mosque, I don't like the idea of getting money from the people in the temple. I do not want religious organization involved with the money. Money corrupts. It is better zakat and nafaka be individual act. |

Helping the vulnerable and people who otherwise will go without should be the objective in any given society whether Christians or Moslem's. Without the intervention of good people the world would be a totally different place and religion some what is to be blamed for that. Everyone acknowledges the teachings of the quran and it's noble teachings, I think it was the messengers and carriers based on their actions is what's making it an illegitimate religion. Historically there has not been a religion that was not tampered with for political reasons..............................................Peace
