Have come across some nice music by Musa Mboob & Xam Xam. A CD entitled Haral (Let Me Tell You). Does anyone know anything about this musician/singer.Would be grateful for some info. His CD can be purchased from www.sternsmusic.com.
Musa Mboob is a uk based Gambian percussionist. A great musician and can remember him playing the sabar during our school events back then at Sukuta Primary school. He will be entertaining the Gambian community here in a next week during our annual Gambian cultural week events. His website http://musamboob.com/ has info on him
Thanks for that info gainde. Not too many Gambian musicians get enough exposure worldwide unlike those from Senegal,Mali,Nigeria or Ghana. This CD is definately worth a listen.
