The Chairman, Sheikh Professor Alhagie Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh makes the kickoff yesterday officially marking the start of the world cup games slated for this month.
Even though the world cup doesn't start in South Africa, not the Gambia, for another week; Jammeh's pre-emptive kickoff at a wrong time and place cheered by onlookers is incredibly laughable

It's Called SOLIDARITY Kayjatta, and the venue was as convenient as can be ,He lives in Kanilai ain't it? I don't think waiting till the day of the world cup or after the kick off in South Africa makes any difference ,this is a show of solidarity brotherman don't hate the player ,hate the game He is not syuppose to steal the event on the day of the kick off .............................................Peace

Solidarity? In South Africa we call it envy . Cutting in front of the host country, South Africa, and making a pre-emptive ceremonial kickoff! Solidarity? Nice word!
This is South Africa's moment. The Gambian soccer under paul Put did nothing to deserve any thing like that-certainly no world cup in Kanilai soon  . We should just stand by our big brother, South Africa and let them enjoy their moment. We must not cut in front and attempt to steal their show and call it solidarity.
