Thanks for the posts, Tomaa. From the videos it looks like things are organized this time around. I couldnt make this year's celebrations but look forward to watching the videos .

Tom, thats what it looks like on the surface (the ashobi) Anyway the dedicated volunteers made it a success.
I have just arrived in Rome a few houres ago where I will be the next days but I will upload more clips when I return.
As guests, Stockholm Gambians were given the football trophy after a draw with Copenhagen Gambians. Norway did not bring a full team so they were helped by those from Stockholm and Germany. Basirou Suso with his kora and a drummer Malick did a live performance followed by a playback by Falou Jeng from Senegal last night.
BTW, a Gambian Journalist (Lamin ?) who works for the Norwegian TV (NRK) captured all the events on video too.

Kay, I know the Kamara kunda folks love the Sabarr, however, the gentle dancing could not be Momodou. Momodou and his fiften somethings legs cannot handle the hupping. An interesting cultural exposure though. The scenario brought frward the contrast of dancing the Sabarr lengenwo in high heels.
