With most writers am assuming that a top rated plot is usually the highlight of their books. For Gambians no other plot was as successful as the plot to oust President Jawara out of office and this has given birth to the worse kind of writers imaginable. Everyone is writing a book nowadays starting with Mr Saine professor of notoriety,My friend Samsudeen Sarr, and as of recent Captain Chongan ,Well I think in assessing their books the similarities that will hold anyone's attention is the fact that most of their stories seem very implausible and lack substance except for Sam Sarr's book. These books were written to satisfy and sway popular believe, which it failed at drastically. Most of the fools now a days writing books do it to save their battered images. They will lie straight out of their teeth to create that hero like existence but Gambians know better. I like Samsudeen Sarrs books for several reasons and that has nothing to do with "1994 coup d'etat". He so happens to be Gambia's favorite writer and has the Guts to stand behind what he writes .He is the only writer capable of taking criticism and addressing emerging questions from readers regarding his books or trend of thought when he wrote his book.
Enough about Samsudeen Sarr, The worst political writer and so called intellectual that I have come across so far is Professor Abdoulie Saine, A typical political prostitute whose whole idea of what perspired in Gambia or is happening is based on the opinion of others, Dr Notoriety is not the smartest Gambian to ever live and has no political background in Africa. When a fool like Dr Saine tells you about a country he has not been to for more than a decade I would prefer a cartoon Magazine instead of engineered lies and intellectual deceit.
These intellectuals are Africa's worst nightmare, He can run around and claim Doctor and professor but let me reassure you, professor Saine can only be a teacher in America , He lacks certain elements and most Africans after graduating have an issue trying to assimilate into the American work force and either have to settle for menial jobs or jobs they are over qualified for. The easiest way is to get a teachers certificate and start lecturing in Private colleges and Universities which barely have state accreditations .
Then the next thing that follows is the claim of being Africa's finest intellectual, Dr of Lies. They can run around and play Mr important but trust me they are NOTHING, but lost souls needing redemption. Writing letters to Condoleeza rice and Queen Patra cannot change the outcome of criminal investigations Mr Intellectual, America did not bring in Britain to solve their internal problems so what makes professor Saine think that foreign politicians can exert control over Gambian politicians or the Government for carrying executive duties, It really makes me wonder what your students think of you at "Miami University" "Ohio" one of our online conglomerate. It never stopped the Gambia Gov't from taking a quarter of a million dalasis from Princess of Lies, regardless of how many bullcrap letters he wrote to international organizations pleading for her release unconditionally. She was lucky to have walked away without doing time + hard labor. Personally speaking I doubt the relevance of any of these prostitutes in Gambian politics, they all tend to be oblivious of the Laws and in his case I would assume he does not even know the laws.
If you take a good look at most of these foolish writers, writing with an agenda at hand, most of the writing is plainly dreadful and Painful at points given the lack of style and polish. Take a good look at all their books and try to figure out what the plot is and you will come to the assumption and conclusion that this assshole is just trying to cover his ass, as has been proven recently. All the events supposedly in Chongans book was a lie.
Chongan's book as has been proven is the Lie of the century all the details are skewed and am sure he was drunk and fantasizing when writing that book. "The price of Duty" should read the "Price of Getting Drunk" trust me it would have been a best seller,I would have purchased that garbage Chongan stopped being a soldier, when he became the drunk in town. Yes Chongan one of your "NDO's" is gonna kick your butt in cyber space. Chongan was a typically drunk and fit the profile of an alcoholic during his tenure at the Military. What Sanna Sabally has to say as evil and calculating as it is,is based on actual behavior and patterns you exhibited as a soldier. I for one can attest to the fact that you were drunk 24/7 with your boys "Ballus" Remeber they used to kick you out for not contributing for the Sunday lunches ya'll used to have . "Sawaye du Jaenda Tie, Do Essey Sangara, du tekk" they would argue amongst themselves remember that. They say you were the only guy that fired your pistol on the day of the coup but knowing you I think you were Drunk and Scared.
If Samsudeen has proven your book to be a total gimmick and the events skewed well good luck Mr Chongan proving otherwise. It just goes to show how desperate and regretful you are. There is no possible way the coup could have been successful if ya'll were not a bunch of drunks partying and womanizing, Trust me they were caught with their pants down taking a Shiit and Sanna Sabally had the audacity to say Chogan ate some Corn, I can see the Niblets. I am sure he pooped and pissed his pants no doubt about that according to Sanna. By the way Chongan was never tortured from what I heard ,The boys just decided to give him that training he never had to get rid of his beer gut. If thats considered torture so be it, They had him training daily ask Chongan if what am saying is a lie?
The other aspect that baffles me about all these books being authored by either run away slaves or the "boys looking at themselves at the mirror thinking they are cute" and simply dwelling on Balangba, The Jammeh regime and all the nonsensical books being authored nowadays, whats sad is they all have one thing in common and that is the need to throw out all the tidbits that are so insipid about the history and workings of the government, it makes me wonder if the authors think everyone lacks any common knowledge about such matters. I much prefer an author who thinks his readers are educated enough to already have a pretty good idea of the general topics at hand in these fictional books since they are all imaginary stories anyways, almost every thing in these books seems to be calculated lies and the intent to deceit, if you ask me ...........................................................Peace

I do not have to defend Dr. Saine who I consider my friend, mentor and brother. He is very capable of defending himself, and in this case doesn't even need to. However, I would like to say a few things: 1. Dr. Saine's book(s) cannot be lumped together with the books of Samudeen Sarr, and Ebrima Chongan. Saine's book(s) is not a personal narrative. It is objectively researched and analysed using valid political theories to arrive at the conclusions it has made. Saine's audience, the academics, are more sophisticated, demanding and has a certain expectation of standard than the other writers you associate him with. 2. Since the coup of July 1994, Dr. Saine has visited the Gambia, sometimes with his daughter, almost every year, and produced numerous academic papers on the AFPRC military regime well before his recent books. I have once had the privilege of accompanying him to polling stations in the Gambia to see how voting was going on, during the early days of Jammeh's rule. That is well before one of my best friends who happened to be a Jola and his wife told me in my face that a mandingo will never defecate in the State House again, after of course Saine sent money through me to help complete his house. So Moe, 'Kasumai kepp' . 3. Dr. Saine is not only a teacher and professor, he is also the Chair of the political science dept. at his university. Certainly, he is not only a teacher in America, Saine has taught in Gambian schools well before he migrated to the U.S. 4. Dr. Saine is not pre-occupied with self-importance and glory. He is the most humble and down-to-earth person I have ever known. He is widely respected and has friends across the broad spectrum of Gambian society at home and abroad. |

Lol that was 15 years ago ,the early days of the AFPRC "Katabolu"? I was hoping he would come defend himself you know am always strapped by the way. It was objectively researched by whom Dr Lie and his agenda?I would not even try to put them together in one Lump, Quite possibly only one belongs to the Library shelves ,The rest is trash. You mean he was applying western theories instead of valid political theories from the region. This is what I try to tell you all the time Kay, you lack an understanding of Gambian politics and worship run away intellectuals, as if they will supposedly lead you to success,Friends with Dr lies and the other Professor remember him ex minister of agriculture. It seems to enable your existence .Lol sorry I had to say that. So when was the last time the notorious doctor went to Gambia? you telling me every year, the hay days of the AFPRC makes me think the last time Dr Notoriety went to Gambia was approximately more than a decade ago. He just surfaced recently quite possibly those half baked intellectuals who thought getting a Masters or Bachelors qualifies them to be Ambassadors, Directors ,Permanent Secretaries etc. I know the type and trust me hopefully he decides to come and defend my allegations, I promise we can stay strictly professional ,you'll see what your renowned doctor is all about."KEtsinday"..............................................................Peace quote: Originally posted by kayjatta

Ah my dear friend, the ex-Minister of Agriculture. See how Jammeh can destroy good people! Saine visits the Gambia almost every summer. FYI, I am on my way too Moe. This time I am ready to take Jammeh by the horn. I am not talking about Chongan's "Balangba" or as Sanna Sabally calls it "The Price of Treachery" . |
