I would like to remind all my Serere cousins loyal to the old ways and anyone who is interested in Serere culture and religion that, the Xoy divination festival of Fatick will take place on the first week of June which will go on for days. As usual, it is always advisable to get there by the end of May so you will not miss out on the first day of the festival if you are travelling from abroad. I missed it last year but I will be there this year and there are others from France and America who will be going. For those of you, who are interested but haven't got friends or relatives in Senegal, visit the Senegal Tourist Board website for locally recommended hotels.
