This is part of an article on freedomnewspaper.com
On Wednesday, the United Nations General Assembly elected 47 nations to serve on the world body’s Human Rights Council. But to the surprise of many observers Gambia’s name never featured on that list. African countries and some European nations such as Gabon, Ghana, Mali, Zambia, Pakistan, Japan, Sri Lanka, Republic of Korea, Romania, Ukraine, Brazil, Guatemala, Peru, the United Kingdom and France are still serving this important body. THIS IS FOOD FOR THOUGHT, any comments.

the AU is a council of despots who have rogged elections, murdered their people, looted the treasuries. No one is clean enough to condemn the other. It is a shameless body that should be disbanded. Certainly they do not speak for me.
Therefore, i cannot see any one of them being able to stand up to Junkung to condemn his policies. After the coup 1994, gambians went to Gahana to study the Rawlings adminisration. The July 22nd Movement is a carbon copy of a similar movement Rawlings set up after his coup. Our decrees are modelled on Ghana's expeience. They will all rot in hell. SHAME ON ALL OF US (AFRICANS)FOR STANDING BY. |
