This man is a hypocrite but then again I would expect nothing else from this family. If you say you are an elder or community leader, you should speak the truth. If you are so frightened to speak the truth, shut your mouth rather than going on air and praising / thanking a dictator who is making innocent people's lives a misery. I would rather give respect to the silent coward than the hypocrite coward. How can a so called religious leader like this hypocrite see the atrocities going on the in The Gambia; thievery; etc and dare to go on air thanking the very man who is the instigator of such acts is beyond my comprehension. Gambia is a predominantly Muslim country and the president himself is a Muslim. Therefore, it is reasonable to ask where are all the so called Muslim elders? Is this the best you have to offer – [this hypocrite]?

Unfortunately, these are the kind of religious leaders allowed to speak on the national TV. It’s only APRC propaganda nowadays.

Tamsier you are messing up once again Bro .The first rule in a secular state is to separate religion from Politics ,Have you ever heard of it ,it's called separation of Church, Mosque and State. The most any religious figure can do is thank the president for his concerns or input in religious affairs and that am pretty sure is the reality. Don't let desperation cloud your thought process, He deserves all the Thanks he is getting ,no matter how much you hate the Sheikh ,where were you when they pronounced him Sheikh!!. Lets keep it real now ,no hanky panky business in cyberspace anymore Brother, While you are at it please explain how Jammeh is the instigator plaguing peoples lives ,Thats just your mere observation homie, Gambians on a daily basis are disagreeing with you and that is evident so please drop the evidence which I doubt you have any per say.......................................Peace

'Tamsier you are messing up once again Bro .The first rule in a secular state is to separate religion from Politics ,Have you ever heard of it ,it's called separation of Church Mosque and State.'

Gambia may have been a secular state during Sir Dawda’s presidency, but not under the Jammeh regime. Our constitution may be secular in spirit but it has now been ignored by Jammeh in favour of religious morality. The best and most recent example I can give you is his threat of summary execution of gay people. No matter what you and I think about gay people, they have the right to live and go about their business without the threat of execution. Our constitution is very clear about this:

‘Every person shall have the right to liberty and security’.

Perhaps you can tell me where in our constitution or even the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights where condones the killing of gay people.

'The most any religious figure can do is thank the president for his concerns or input in religious affairs and that am pretty sure is the reality.'

You are contradicting yourself here. If Gambia is a secular country, then the President should not be interfering in religious affairs in the first place. In any case, if this hypocrite Bah is thanking Jammeh for his ‘concerns or input in religious affairs’ to use your words, then he should also be prepared to go on air and speak about the atrocities going on in The Gambia under the leadership of Jammeh. Jammeh cannot claim ignorance – e.g. I didn’t know or it is the army or others who are doing it. If he is innocent of such killings, kidnappings etc, he as president should set up systems in place; follow the law of the land and go to court if needs be just like anybody else to clear himself of such brutalities without any secret heavy handedness or private dealings but with openness. No one is above the law.

How can a African president like Jammeh who came to office less than two decades ago with nothing became one of the richest presidents in the Continent? Where did he get the money from? Why is he giving out money to Z-List celebrities as if money grew on trees in The Gambia when his own citizens are living in hunger, poor health and unemployment? For your information, I don’t hate Jammeh. I hate his some of his actions when he came to office. Even though I don’t agree with how he took power, giving him the benefit of the doubt, he could have been one of the best presidents of the Continent. Every good deed Jammeh has done has been marred by evil and sense of insecurity. Lack of trust is rampant in Gambia. People do not trust their neighbours, staff, etc in fare that they may be reported to Yayah’s clones and their lives turned up side down. The rest of your comments are far too childish to respond to. This is the reason I rearly get involved in some of the political debates.

Okay I will tell you whats wrong and you can try to tell me what's right. Jammeh's statement regarding the beheading of gays came at a time when Gays were using Gambia as a sex Paradise .Ask any bumpster if the have been ****ed in the ass, if they are real with you ,The least you gonna hear is that ,they screw my boys but I don't allow it to happen. I only screw old Toubab women for money.

Gambia became the new sex paradise and as of present the Amsterdam of west Africa if you ask me. Half of Sanyang village and the vicinity belongs to Gambians willing to sell their souls for riches. The Senegambia strip spells "Prostitution" every nook and cranny, Not only were Gays coming to Gambia for prostitution ,they knew they could get it for free from bumpster's willing to do anything to catch a "Ngew" . Thailand was their destination and it took the involvement of their home countries to curb the practice ,as of present American citizens can be prosecuted for sex crimes committed in Thailand. So we have lonely Gambia where all or majority of the vendors in the tourism development area are engaged in the practice of selling younger children to readily available customers and it seems to be a secret, the president is angry for several reasons and his statements speaks volumes of his anger and not his intentions.

The other fact is Most Gambian elders have a tendency of having a liking for young children and the culture of whats acceptable made it possible for Pedophiles to take advantage of the situation. My friend Jammeh was speaking from his heart when he said that ,Gambians are willing to reduce themselves to slaves if given the chance and promise for an easy existence.
I have one question for you bro, bro, Has Jammeh beheaded a single gay since his statement and as of present several Gambians are Languishing at Mile two prisons, awaiting their death sentence? which for starters has not been implemented thus far.

Why is it that every threat Jammeh makes is taken at Face Value ,It's more like his anger at the situation that is being exhibited, several "Gorr Gegaine's" have been charged for prostitution and are Languishing in Jail right now ,Have they been beheaded yet ? Your argument is very weak and you have nothing to substantiate it Tamsier. Am guessing, you stating his interference in religious affairs was a mistake ,I would suggest you go and revisit his role in that.

Of course he is one of the best African presidents to ever serve office, Like you stated if everything was not marred by insecurity ,well close your eyes and pretend every thing was "gravy" and nothing had transpired, reflect on the achievements since Jammehs coming to power,I will promise you that you will be lying to yourself if you try to say the developments are insignificant ,The fact is the insecurity you so claim is a figment of your imagination ,Gambians don't trust each other cos they like to lie and break the law ,if you ask them, they say "Deew more ma Ko wahh" but don't tell anybody. It's a culture of gossipers and Liars period. I know a lot of people who are opposed to the government and have never been arrested , Wanting freedom and hating justice is kinda retarded . How can we as a people set up laws and choose to implement it when we deem fit and any time a political figure breaks the laws ,well I don't have to get into that ,you know exactly what happens.

If you feel that you are sure of the Fact that he STOLE money ,brother take him to court and provide the evidence. As you claimed he is the richest African President from within a short period of time ,well Please tell me where he got his money from ,Suspicion alone does not constitute guilt so be very careful what you say.........................................Peace
