The praise singing done by does such as the Kunjur Darboe Kunda kabilo and like, is the reason why Gambia will never be free of the virus we call Yaya Jammeh and co. How about they march to state house and demand a stop to all state sponsored terror, torturing, disapperances, killings and illegal detentions? How about they demand a stop to corruption? how about a stop to police harassment of the people? How about they demand that all police officers must have at least a high education followed by training in the laws and constitutions of the nation. How about they demand that the police know their proper roles and are not to take laws into their own hands on civil matters? How about they demand jobs and education for all?
Bunch of bloody sellouts.

Justice must be served as impunity brings more repression and corruption!

Aku, you are absolutely right, in an informed society where citizens know the role of government and their responsibility as citizens, such actions are taken to hold the regime accountable.

However, we have a different mindset in the Gambia. Majority citizens see the government as the absolute power and the only institution that has the right to make laws and break them as they wish. They think no one can hold the government accountable... thus the Mansakunda and Larmuu or Ngurrgeh is know all.

What many here are saying is that by virtue of Gambians lack of civic education many have given up on government on the premises that they cannot do anything to stop the government or change what they want to do. This includes opposition leaders who believe that they are to lose if they were to get to the streets and or call for accountability.

So the people have moved on and are only concerned about their daily bread and butter which makes sense but it is a succumb to something that is going to come back down the road to hunt us all. This was what happened during the PPP regime... No one but Jawara and the PPP... Now No one but Jammeh and APRC. History is being repeated here.

The bottom line is our problem is entirely to do with IGNORANCE.Their will be change but for many generations ahead. We should put all our efforts in education the next generation, to me personally, thats is the only solutions to this political manace in our home land.

Jiki Darboe and his fellow opportunists are a true reflection of the overall Gambian psyche. We really have a long way to go. I suggest we all tighten our belts and brace for more of these to file in toe to collect their share of the booty. I think it was ironical that the money bag was blue instead of green...

TACKLING "IGNORANCE" AND INTELLECTUAL DIS-HONESTY IS WHAT HALIFA SALLAH, P.D.O.I.S & FOROYAA DOING THEY LACK SOLIDARITY AND SUPPORT FROM THE SO-CALLED EDUCATED OR INTELLECTUAL GAMBIANS

THEY WILL NEVER BE TIRED TO EDUCATE THE MASSES TO STAND UP FOR THEIR RIGHTS!

"We hope in struggling for the liberation of the minds of the people those who are interested in making the people sovereign will re-educate the people to see our leaders as mere public trustees who will serve us today and walk side by side with us in the street tomorrow as common citizens like our very selves" Halifa Sallah/ Foroyaa
