Looked at their website this week and got a price of £202 on a three bird hotel B&B flying Monarch. Having been to a couple of them I think its a complete bargain and am considering going in a few weeks if these late booking prices prevail.

Anyone else?

Sounds GreatI just checked the special offers at Gambia Experience and they are now £249 and that was for 2 bird allocated on arrival, did you book direct with Gambia Experience or through another website ?
I am off travelling for 2 weeks on Friday, not going to The Gambia this time, maybe in Winter.

Ummmm interesting and this still being part of the high season and they are still making a profit. Wal Mart the biggest retailer in the world whos motto is Stack em High sell them cheap. So it beggers the thought for Gambia Experience Keep it cheap and and watch the number of tourists increase

Exactly the same as the railway companies in the UK,I find it very confusing that they fail to lower the fares and get more people onto trains, they appear to prefer to sell a small number of very high fares and run trains almost empty, except for commuter routes of course.

I am going to check this are they only doing 6 weeks in advance. i wanted to go in april, but could change this if the price is cheap.
VIMTOS, BUT IT DOES MAKE YOU THINK WHAT profit they are making I think it is all to do with empty seats on planes, not hotel, if the plane is booked it has to be paid for, better to get something for the seats.

Well I never did book it. I flew to Greece instead for £330 which included 10 days car hire.

Jambo you're right about carrier seats. Chartered flights already have their seats prepaid by travel companies so any money they can claw back on an empty seat the better. Some airlines even offer a stand by air freight service for parcels where if there's an empty seat after final check in you get to send a parcel using that seats luggage allowance. Its the cheapest way of using air freight for a regular Joe sending medium to heavy parcels.

I'm still looking at Gambia for a short break soon and will probably dump the hotel part just using the flight. This time I want to travel the whole coast using hotels as and when I need them.

If you are going to do that I can recommend the ecolodge at Gunjur for a night or two. Also Tendaba camp, inland. I want to go to Wassu next time I visit.

Looking again the prices have risen. Greece was OK but never the same as Gambia. Nowhere will be.

Looking at coming over in two to three weeks now. Maybe for 10 days. Anyone else?

Looks like you'll already be there now and I'll arrive after you've left.
Hope you had a good time!

Brufut boy, you are living my dream!!!!!

I love your philosophy behind the business.
If ever I get back to Gambia I would love to come and see your business and have a beer.

I usually try to visit Diana nursery school. Are you located in Brufut its self? If so I might even try to stay a few nights.
