Asalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu: I received this reminder regarding remaining steadfast and patience from a good friend. May we all read it, understand it and incorporate the moral lessons into our daily activities. As we all observe fasting on this blessed day of Ashura, may Allah's blessings, guidance and every good tidings be with us- the Ummah of our noble Prophet (SAW). Jazzakum Allahu Khairan. SABR [PATIENCE] There is no happiness in life without Sabr, It is the light that illuminates the way from birth to the Qabr
How many a times do we rush, rush only to mess things If only we'd take our time, then would we earn the full blessings
Little do we know that none of us can change what's already written For us from our birth to the 'Day of Mutual Meeting' [40:15]
Indeed life can be full of surprises; But only with the lows and rises, Can we truly gain its prizes.
At times we may feel life's rough & tough squeeze But "Truly with hardship comes ease, Truly with hardship comes ease" [94:5-6]
It's only natural that some days be good and others bad, "So do not be weak, nor be sad..." [3:139]
Why then despair when "Allah is sufficient for us..."? [3:173] "And in Him we put our trust", therefore why be in distress? [69:29]
Remember that nothing occurs "...but it is inscribed (written) in the Book of Decrees-" [57:22] From the Kindergarten ABC's, what comes in between, to the big degrees.
Bear in minds the words of Al-Amin (SAWS) as he said: "...Be mindful of Allah, you will find Him before you. Get to know Allah in prosperity and He will know you in adversity. And know that victory comes with patience, Relief with affliction, and ease with hardship." [Tirmidhi]
We must learn to accept life as it is, Do our very best to do well on every test & quiz.
Have you forgotten the Words of the One above the seven skies: "Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty, ailments and were shaken." [2:214] Yet still, these stood strongly without being broken.
Then won't you have patience for a Promised Day to come? When it will be said to some: "Peace be upon you, because you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!" [13:24]
Do indeed remember Him, for "Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." [13:28] Know that those who remember Him with patience are forever the best And they, they are the ones who are truly blessed.
