Atleast Gambia is ahead of some 50 states. Not very bad i guess. OOps did i say that.

Good job Njuks. May be i can change my avatar now. This is encouraging. We just need to improve our human rights record and be little bit more tolerant. Dont you think. i know Gambia has a mountain of problems. Very small revenue base and that can be frustrating especially when you embark of big projects.

It is interesting how the our big brother have not made the grade. Shame on all of us.

jammeh can be a hero again just like the time he first entered the state house.Little bit of adjustments like:

-Free-up the media( free press)
-Concentrate more on local government
-Revisit what he had said before;accountability and probity
-Independent judiciary
-A better criminal justice system
-Term limit for presidency
-More investment in our roads
-concentrate more on Agriculture than tourism
-Education
-And finally Free all political prisoners and detainee`s

By doing the aboved,he will not only be remembered as a great president but will be excused-off his shortcomings by the hospitable minded population( gambians).

Hi Njucks thanks for posting on some statistics for all the sceptics about the APRC government progress. Gambia is a successful state placed 83. it has another 63 places to go to reach the top of the list and has left 82 other states behind. These statistics place Gambia in a much clearer prespective within the geopolitical arena instead of the hyped exaggeration which is posted on this site every day to distort and project a negative image of the country on a daily basis by spread fear. The statistics still show that there is still a lot still be done however Gambia is still doing pretty well a long the road to progress.

I quite dont agree. This site is probably the most liberal on Gambian issues. There have been many divergent views made here. Yoour posting above is a confirmation of the tolerance of different views.

Infact iwas reading a blog on another site accusing Bantaba as an APRC site. See this link.

This is why free speech is important to hear from both sides.

You yourself has posted many nagative things about Gambia. Are you shooting yourself in the leg now?

Sister,

The negativity of gambians in this forum is indeed in a right direction.Every gambian in his right mind knows that the government is doing some developments. But what the majority is advocating is this;the very people the government is trying to develop, is the same people they are killing. The oxymoron of our time is, What is the logic of that development? Sometimes,i love your stance because if we all think the same way this forum will be a very boring place but i wish you got this right.
