As always, I monitored this sad incident with an objective mind.

First of all, let us condemn the horrible act of un-called for murder by Major Hasan of the US Army. Personally, I think that such a deed is not befitting our religion Islam. My condolence goes to the families and to the US Army for the irreparable loss of serving soldiers. What makes this incident totally wrong is the fact that anyone could have been a victim of the shameful trigger that ended innocent lives unjustifiably.

Having said that, the FBI/CIA should focus on what is at stake rather than associate everything and anything with Islam and Muslims. The problem is truly not Islam. It is not Muslims either. The problem lies in “boiling” anger in the hearts of “unhappy” individuals about their policies and deeds. Such doesn’t require one to subscribe to Islam or not. We have seen others commit worst crimes when matter of fact they belong to different religions. It is just that volcano blast that once in a while comes to haunt a society that spends so much time putting blame wrongly on Islam and Muslims unjustifiably. Instead of associating any incidence with Islam, they should focus on such individuals on the merits of their wrongs, rather than a judgment on their religion, seemingly a way of tainting ones’ religion.

While investigations into this high profile matter continue, it is my belief that the reason for mass murder will be none. This incident is just sad. More than likely, the volcano has erupted in a “revenge” way. The long standing tension between Israel and Palestine can only give birth to such occurrences. The Israel-Palestine problem is more of a political war about land grabbing than it is about ones’ religion. That is why people must seek solutions to problems. America’s alleged support of Israel will go a long way hunting them, because the “bad blood” of anger will keep transferring from generation to generation. Instead of blaming it on Islam, they should look to see where this man’s anger came from. Therein lays the solutions. From the same Virginia Tech, just about months ago, was another radical Cho who killed many of his school mates. Almost now, everywhere is holding their mouth in wonder saying I won’t send my kids to that school. This might have nothing to do with the school or teachers; possibly a sad coincidence of similar unfortunate matters.

I am truly saddened by the lack of peace and co-existence everywhere. The world has become a problematic world such that if you are not dealing with a Black dictator, a white crusader or an Arab fundamentalist, you might be dealing with a mass murderer somewhere some place. To all these, I say emphatically wrong!

Brother Dalton1, me like wise, I strongly condemn the shooting at Fort Hood in Texas. I join the families of those killed in their hour of distress and bereavement.

This is totally wrong and it's against the moral teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Such despicable action has no place in Islam and should be condemned by all muslims.

As Salamu Alaikum Waramatullah Wabarakatu

Hi Bro Concort,

Thank you for sharing your analysis on the shooting spree that claimed a lot of lives.

I thought the above two links will expand this debate on the ongoing topic.

I think I agree with the teacher of the wise Muhammad Ali, regarding condemning and shunning terror of all sorts. Terror is absolutely wrong, whether it is from government, individual or an organization(s). Terror must be condemned and nib to the bud. Stamp Satan lower!! Lower, lower, lower, stamp satan lower!

Thanks brother Dalton for your thoughtful analysis! Terrorism is profoundly a political war and not rooted in any religion! It is provoked by hatred, persecution, victimisation and injustice Political partitions and political policies promote terrorism rather than what certain religion preach

Global terrorism is not in the name of Islam! The root causes are political and materialism; i.e oil, power & world domination!

For "Yaa Baani Adam!" (Oh children of Adam); "All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white- except by piety and good action. "
