Madiba, i am conducting a study on Jaliba Kuyateh. I spoke with him, he blow me away. I was having heavy pre-judgement on him especially the show man culture his music manifest.
I came across this song about Amadou Barry. Please listen and tell me whether you accept the mandingo cliche on Fula. the saying that Fula kilin muu moo fula leti or one fula is equal to two person.

Jaliba is frm niamina a bastion of fulas in CRD. I heard of that saying many a time but am only amused by it. I think becos of our wits th others think we have the capabilities of more than one person. i pass the baton to the others dbaldeh, dalton1, moe

Uncle Suntou is digging deep here. I've heard of this many times, but never paid attention to it.It came in the form of teasing.

From Jaliba's clip, it looks like a tribute to the Fulbe. He himself said "Komi pullo Naimina," which means "I am also a Niamina pullo".

The king of Kora, Jaliba is well versed in all Gambian cultures.

Thanks Madis and Yero. I thought so as well. It is mostly becus of the humility and descrete nature of the fula mannerism i thought. The keeping of low profile. at the same time not underestimating them.
