This from The Point:
http://thepoint.gm/africa/gambia/article/wives-are-no-door-mats

Snippet:
One thing led to another, and the cat was let out of the bag. According to the media report, both Fafaye Ceesay and his ‘lover sister’ were caught doing their thing right on the verandah. They must have thrown all caution to the wind, thinking that they would not be caught.

Opps...........

How i love that quotation by George Washington!
What a hypocrite, this Ceesay - i am afraid there are many more like him, such contempt for their women...

Surely you do not mean 20 cigarettes at 25 dalasis ??
This lucky ****** overplayed his hand, forgetting to count his blessings..
As if 2 wives is not one too much already, and now he thinks he needs (and can manage) another one. Having his way with her 'al fresco'! Yuck, out with him

I read this story a while ago on Gambia-L. Think I might know this guy though. Works for the U.N. now for many years, after travelling (hustling)across Africa for many years trying to make a fortune. Married a good girl from the same U.N. office in Banjul, had a son and later divorced. Until i left the Gambia, that girl still lived in my neighborhood and was still a good friend bcos. of my association with her ex-hus. I used to spend part of my student days reading and doing my homework in his living room
He is a very good person to me, although was part of group including Njie-ba and Ous who have a long track record of womanizing. I think Njie-ba who never married and never dated a single woman for a week {except for the Senegalese girl Sai. She was a slender dark blonde with spinning brown eyes and a vibrant gait so full of life yet no nonesense woman} was the worst, he used to change girls like clothes. My uncle used to marvel at some of his daily beautiful 'catches', and we all just laugh it off...
Sai was able to stick around for a couple of months before leaving with a sizeable "fortune" in the Gambia of the 1980s...
It appears though that the Tribunal erred in throwing his divorce petition out. He perhaps has a right to divorce, notwithstanding his alleged conduct. Maybe the the Tribunal could just lay down the conditions for the divorce concerning children's custody and support, and sharing of properties if any...
Hey but the guy is from Jarra, you can't expect much. Jarrankas are just good for nothing

How unfortunate that your friend fell into the company of others who had views of women thinking that women were less than companions and more like toys that gave pleasure for a time and are then disgarded, very naughty.Kay, I know that you are just bursting to tell us all why you think the tribunal was wrong in dismissing his petition for divorce. ( OK OK I know you are not a lawyer, but so knowlegable obout these law things you should be !)

Warning Toubab: I am not an atty.... But seriously this guy is and was an adult and solely responsible for his conduct just like the other members of his group have a long trail of their own mess...
I do not just see how his wife would wanna stay in such a damaged marriage. What is left in the marriage to stay for, if she actually caught them in the act? I would expect her to agree to a divorce, if she is a credible woman.
One more thing, Toubab. I do not think the Tribunal has any right or powers to order the return of the mistress to her native Jarra Bureng. It would be proper only to order her eviction from the residence or domicile of the wife...
