Getting better by the day Dalton!! You should aspire to be better than all the online blogs since there is not a single Leader in the rush ,First fire DBaldeh and tell him to go join the NRP both him and Cherno Baba,they are not journalist.Then get your opinions out of the editorials ,thats is if you wanna be a professional journalist.Dont be like the rest ,Be the BEST. Just some constructive criticism here,also quit collaborating with unscrupulous politicians ,dining with devils creates biases. Regarding Darboe ,his plan will back fire on him ,everyone knows he is sowing the seeds of deceit and confusion right now. He is a tribalist and is banking on his Tribal Cards, hence his visit to Seattle,..... North Bank Division.What he has resorted to is not politics ,falls in the category of DECEIT and everyone knows it,including the Diplomats watching..............................................................Peace........... |

Our Brother Moe,
Neither I, nor the contributing masses here are ignoring your debates. People are reading every single line...but at times, it is hard to post replies. Personally, I have been running a busy schedule...and it looks like very soon, I will even be busier. It has been made more complicated by your debating style, which almost everyone here has been pointing fingers to. On a token of advise, please always let decenting views fly!
While acknowledging and thanking you for the compliment, I am careful about the advise you offered. To put it mild, I want to submit for the records that Baldeh is a noble patriot, matter of fact the very pivot of Gainako. If for any compliment of improvement, he is more qualified and deserving to it than me. I therefore would ask you to recognize his valuable services, at least in a spirit of tolerance and acceptance where constructive disagreeing to agree with prevail. I do not see myself as a journalist, just circumstantial because of my hobby of seeing people enlightened, and a desire to see peace, equality and justice prevail.
On Cherno Baba, I also found him to be a decent citizen. I have greatly benefitted from his versatile knowledge. He opened his door for us. That is great!
On the others, which I belief you are refering to the sister online outlets. I honestly strife to see excellence. I hold each and everyone of high esteem. What you must realize, there is some candle that is burning...and human flesh is the melting wax. Such requires great activism, aggression and confronting such a matter by any necessary means. We are not after Jammeh's head. We are asking him to respect peoples' rights and change for the better. A leader should respect his followers. Not that I agree with all opinions, but I respect everyone's right for existence. If Jammeh changes for the better, the beams of touches will turn towards him, but daily , we are getting vindicated about his actions. Jammeh has greatly wronged Gambians in a number of ways; countless and numerous indeed! In as much as I respect your support of his person, I must humbly advise you to seek the whole truth about the man. Peoples' rights have been trampled on; the press has been muzzled; the politicians and activists has been silenced; others are maimed and jailed as prisoners of conscience; civil servants randomly hired and fired; a lot of disappearnces; the ordinary citizenry has been oppressed; Jammeh gathered wealth and power around himself...such that he is intoxicated with it to the brim of his throat etc...such that such a list is huge. In my best understanding, this is battle that all these online outlets are fighting, in short battle against oppression.
I met Darboe, Halifa, Waa, OJ,etc...I like their vibrancy when they are on the side of the true struggle, even though Waa tilted to the other side recently. Interviews with Darboe, Halifa and OJ are truly nice.....because they address issues indept.
On a last note, feel free to engage in constructive debates here or at Gainako. It is equally an open forum. We welcome everyone's participation. Personally, I am here to stay...and whenever time permits me, I will post my opinions and reply to topics that interest me.
Otherwise, I let tempers subside; I let the spirit of reconciliation take over; and I let the spirit of constructive debate prevail, where we can all agree to disgree without having to be disagreable.

I would be happy to join the NRP and let go of Gainako if Moe is willing to step up and play it fair and balance... Until I see that sign I shall yeild to Dalton who signs off on my pay check.
Thanks for the feedback and may be you can join us at Gainako and report from a dissenting voice. How balance would that be?
By the way am still looking forward to a coffee with you in Seattle? It would be on me... |

Moe;
Do you care to expound on Darboe's plan to show deceit and confusion? Also, you accused him of being a tribalist and he is playing a tribal card, please expound on your allegations. What is it that you know about his visit to Seattle and North Bank?
Regards

Interesting points noted from Gainako news as quoted below;
"In responding to a question from an audience as to why he Darboe quitted NADD then, Darboe was unapologetic and said Hassam Musa Camara who was the Chair of NADD should explain to Gambians why NADD broke up. He said there was no sincerity from the beginning but despite that he gave it the benefit of the doubt and signed to the agreement. Darboe further revealed what many critics believed that he was facing pressure from his party supporters who were questioning why he decided to join NADD. Darboe said some people even confronted him as to why he was accepting to join small parties which were insignificant if compared to UDP.
In answering another question from the audience as to what he think is the best way forward, Darboe said he thought it was presumptuous for him to speculate on what he think is the way forward. He said he is open to ideas and hope that all parties have learned from their mistakes this time around."
Many thanks to Gainako news team for the good work in informing us on what matters and hot Gambian politics! |

Uncle Janko, I thought that was an interesting point from Darboe. It actually validates what many of us always thought was the case with the NADD fiasco. I always thought left to Darboe alone he was fully behind NADD, but his supporters only went along because he was their leader.
There was deep division within the UDP as to why Darboe accepted to join the smaller parties. Many of them only kept quiet because they thought the nomination was a given.
Whatever the mistakes we all made, I hope this time around we move with more experience and a more common purpose. I would fully support another union with or without conditions. Whatever we get from a union would be better than Jammeh. Some of us will still be pushing for full accountability no matter who is in power. The battle does not and would not end with a Jammeh removal.
