Folks, first I comment the Gambian Civil Society Organizations in the Diaspora especially for their patriotic and courageous stand against the Kanilai Butcher and tin pot dictator of The Gambia. The time has come for Gambians abroad especially to make strategic plans to defeat the ***** regime in Banjul.
Acoording to Africa- Confidential, no other clown has gotten away with what Jammeh has gotten away in recent days. Starting with overthrowing a democratic government, the cold blooded massacres of Nov 1994, the banning, illegal detention and torture of PPP officials in 1994 and 1995, the killing of Saidibou Hydara, the rigging and brutal terror unleased on UDP officials in 1996, the extra judicial killings, AJJ's open dalliance with Libya and its secret services, his involvement in the Casamance rebellion, his arms for diamonds with the RUF, his drug dealing and counter feiting of US dollars, his dalliance with Charles Taylor, deaths and disappearances including of Phoday Makalo, deaths resulting from violence meted out to UDP officials at Denton Bridge in 1996 under the lead of Yankuba Touray, the notorious NIA, Yaya open theft of Government and State funds including grants, loans and funds to the State from donor countries. The looting of the Central Bank reserves, the killing of school children in 2001, the rigging of the 2001 elections, the muzzling of the press and independent voices by violence and intimidation, the attempted assassinations of Darboe, Shygle Nyassi, Lawyer Sillah and that of Deyda Hydara all call for justice including the deterioration of living standards in The Gambia.
The Gambia is now on the verge of a failed state as AJJ's purge of the Gambian civil service and armed forces takes it toll on the delivery of public services. The time has come for the world to take notice. NADD and other CSOs must bring The Gambia to world notice as AJJ only got away because the Gambia is small and tend to fall below radar and that Senegal's Abdou Diouf, Laye Wade and Nigeria's Abacha gave the tin pot dictator aid and succour. Today, Jammeh is reviled from Dakar to Abuja. The AU, UN, ECOWAS, Commonwealth, No 10 Downing street and 14 Pennsylvania Avenue must be continually bombarded with petitions including the Palais Presidential in Dakar until Jammeh is brought on notice. It is now time for The Gambia to be brought to the World's attention.
The actions of Allgambian and the Save The Gambia Project have put the spotlight on AJJ and his regime. Phase II is for our leading intellectuals in the Diaspora to form a Lobby and Pressure Group, that will lobby Congress, the Senate, the Bretton Woods institution and Taiwan. The Republic of China Taiwan must chose between a dictator in the person of AJJ or The Gambia. There is no doubt that the Struggle against Junkung will succeed. Now is the time to organize. The Gambian Armed Forces are in disarray. Our collective survival is now the issue and again, to PARAPHRASE HAMAT BAH, the Gambia has only one problem..YAYA JAMMEH. By AMNA
