Well since it took me this long i guess might as well take the opportunity to finish what i started Thanks Admin,I apologize. Any ways back to the topic, if any thing Gambians in general particularly the opposition parties need to go back to the drawing board and figure out a new approach, the fact is we outta be able to change the country’s political atmosphere, believe me Old political beliefs outta give place to new ones due to the changing times . Those who are in the quagmire of old ideas should either accept the new ones or hand over the torch to a new generation of Gambians .I know am rambling again but all am trying to do is establish a point. This is absolutely the right thing to do for political parties of today have a way of shaping future political parties. It is high time to think about the fate of the future of party politics in Gambia.
When i say change am not talking about change of leadership or any of the above. We need feasible change to transform the country's political landscape ,something that will stand the test of time.
So far the attitude exhibited by politicians is not only ridiculous ,it's ludacris. Am Glad my man Waa took the first step towards the transformation process. Making excuses as has been seen is not the solution to our problems. First of all am aware of the fact that issues have been raised as to the human rights abuses in Gambia ,illegal detentions etc , I think it's time to start asking your selves who is actually committing these heinous crimes against humanity ? It won't be long before you get the shock of your life. Jammeh is not Superman!!. ,and why is everyone a willing participant ? ask yourselves and don't be shady.
The fact is if the opposition had a one time opportunity to change the political Landscape but chose infighting and character assassination and accusations against each other over mediocre issues like Money, Funds ,Leadership etc .
Seriously i hate to say this but the trend i have witnessed makes me believe everything that has persevered thus far, the murders are all politically motivated killings since all sound and sundry would assume the state had something to do with it. How can anyone explain the Ghanian Killings , The murder of Deyda hydara etc The ultimate goal of almost all political parties rather than sorting out problems in a peaceful way is to castigate each other and hope their calculated plans hatched.
Looking at Gambian politics is like reading a frankenstein story and i believe and strongly believe that New faces are needed a new breed of politicians since the guys engaged in this country's party politics have lost the confidence of the general public. The current conviction is that they could not bring about meaningful change regardless of what their intentions were. You have to realize that the culture of poor politics was not born yesterday Most of them are directly or indirectly assumed to be responsible for the total backwardness of the country in the past years. I seriously don't think the Gambian politician can extricate themselves from outdated political ideas.
The culture of a "different cast same script" in our politics since the days of DK Jawara is still not changed and oppositoin parties are still stubborn and unwilling to nurture civilized politics for different reasons. Personally i feel they are sheltering both in the ruling and opposition parties without having different ideologies.
They were all born in the same village ,raised in the same village ,they threw up together after rounds of Zum Zum yet Nobody knows why they are contradicting and fighting each other while quoting from the same scripts.
We are tired of the bickering and there is no sign of a generation of politicians willing to transform the country into the highest level of a democratic society. Being cynical and retarded has it's place and time will tell if including the youth to fight their unintelligible causes is the solution to our problems.
Going back to Ndam and its USA branch , it is evident what Gambian politics is evolving into whether you like the trend or not , the fact remains its a culture of distrust, lies, deceit and hatred. Why Waa decided to severe all ties with the USA branch is yet to be determined but as of recent the baloney from Mr Mbengue made me realize why Waa walked away.
If this is the future Gambia is looking forward to "God Save Her" If the Remnants of "Ndam" can turn terrorist over night and start calling for the removal of a head of state by any means necessary ,by hook or by crook is a true testament of the future of Gambians politics. They were a legitimate branch of an existing party therefore calling for coups and mayhem i would have assumed would be the last thing on their agenda
