Santa, I dont think that you are being hostile at all but to quote words that are " nicknames" given by a few people is not helpfull, especially if you are trying to gain information about what is being discussed.I will leave this topic now as no further purpose will be served in my participation.
As I understand things (in simple terms, you know me !)'Tabligh' is the work done by Muslims to call others to Allah" as one of your quoted websites told me,therefore the people who were the great concern of Momodou (the original poster), were about this work.I am not a scholar and I am not getting deeper and deeper into a discussion that I am not competent to discuss.
People have their own ideas and that's their choice. I take Momodous MAIN point that after being with this group the boy was changed psychologically.Never a good thing to interferre with someones mind.

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.

Tabliqh Jamaat is not a sect. It is a movement. I think it is important we get that point across. Santa I believe the book you are talking about is Fazail-e-Amal (Virtuous Deeds). Very simple and easy to read book. I love that book.

"...Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest..." Sura Al-Rad (Chapter 13, Verse 28)

...Gambian by birth, Muslim by the grace of Allah...

Santa, are these people members of the sect you are talking about?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8196740.stm

At least five Pakistanis have been killed in a dawn attack at a mosque on the border of Somalia's semi-autonomous Puntland region, witnesses say.

Armed men in masks entered a mosque in Galkayo and ordered six Pakistanis and one Somali outside, they said.

The gunmen then opened fire, killing five men and seriously injuring two.

Those targeted are said to be Muslim preachers. Puntland has been tense recently, but the reason for the latest attack is unclear.

The Pakistanis are thought to be missionaries from an Islamic branch called Tabliq who arrived in Galkayo on Tuesday.

Prince, it seems they belong to the movement or group. This people are the average joe who visit different localities to meet and discuss with other Muslims.
Toubab, no one is messing with anybodies mind. Momodou only relay his concerns, the real problem with the man is not fully known. lets not jump guns man.

Thanks as well Kobo. Indeed Mansasulu, that is the book.
