| What are you proving here with these statistics Turk ? that Whites have the best of everything,or that it's a culture thing (I accept that nowhere have you raised these questions) but was that what was in your mind for a discussion ? or what, a load of figures proving what exactly ? |

Huh. I am not proving anything to you. I provide you facts. I did not provide my opinion. It is up to you come to some conclusion based on these figures. I wanted to have facts than discuss with others why figures are different. Here are some.
Economic and social status may impact on interracial marriage. For example, if white man has the highest socio-economic status, and black woman has the lowest. It will be more difficult for white man to involve with black women.
Other way around, black women prefers non-black husband more than any other women. Both white women and men are more conservative when it comes to interracial relationship. There may be more social presure for them about 'jungle fever'. Blacks may have more liberal/open in terms of socialization with the other race.
Asian men are the less preffered men. I wonder why.

Turk, I see you provide the information others discuss then you join in,I know that you feel that I don't discuss enough and sit on the fence,thats true but when I have no particular strong views on a subject then others who have strongly held opinions then thats OK, I am thinking of the two major topics that are or used to be discussed here,OK back to your figures they are accurate, who knows but lets accept that they are,there is no doubt that as you put it "if white man has the highest socio-economic status, and black woman has the lowest. It will be more difficult for white man to involve with black women." you have illistrated that the breadwinner has the final say, just like in old times the man was the hunter and if the woman wanted to eat then she did as she was told, that is changing in the western countries because of social engineering by governments,something that has yet to reach Africa in any meaningfull ways,just talks by those in charge and nothing to back it up i.e. to tell companies that they MUST employ so many women, so many handicapped,so many blind if they are capable of doing a job.In the same way if social perceptions do nat change in relation to inter-raceial marriage,social standing in the community weather it be black or white communities is strong maybe in different ways.Preferences are inbuilt and its not until love takes over are they broken down. |
