Obama is being criticised for saying the police ''acted stupidly'' for arresting a man (in this case an African American) in his own home.

While I am not ignoring the fact that African-Americans/Latinos/Middleeastern/South Asians people are more often victim of racial profiling in USA, this situation may not be the case.

It is true it is 'stupid' to arrest someone who thought to be a thief but actually owner of the house. But if 'this african-american man' refused to show 'ID' and did not accept the authority of the police officer. That may be another story. Many people became more uncooperative as they see situation like this to play the 'victim' role.

And Obama without getting all the details, he should not have made this 'stupid' comments.

Devil Advocate.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

I fully endorse that, why engage in conflict with authority, it makes no sense.

True its all about how you initially react although a lot DOES depend on the officer/officers involved.
