Happy 'Revolution Day' to you too Prince. Moe is in Banjul shaking hands with Gadaffi and The Sheikh. Aren't you jealous? I hope he takes his satala with him to share with them. What a comedy grandstand to behold.

Not so fast, Prince. Moelly's been sequestered by my scientists for further analysis. We had to. Unleashing a very bad mouthed clone in cyberspace was premature. Moe tests in progress. His release date's unknown, yet........................................................lol!

No matter how you try to erase history Kay, July 22 1994 was a Bloodless Coup. A Revolution which accelerated Gambia's development. Now I wonder how many Gambian Youth today would like to turn the clock back. After all July 22nd, 1994 has at the very least brought them electricity, schools, university, Information Communication Technology, Free Education For Girls, New ferry, New roads, Fire Engines, Traffic Lights, Housing Developments, Adult Vocational Training,Female Ministers,Investment in female farmers, more hospitals, more Doctors, Gambian Television etc, etc.

Now for many of us living in Developed countries these maybe nothing extraordinary but for a country inside the bottom 20 of least Developing countries the world in the early 90's. This is an fantastic achievement!

Peace

Prince,

You have the most fitting adjectives to kick-start a sensible debate. July 22 is certainly DOOMS DAY for Gambia. Don't you wonder? The criminal is stealing millions then turning thousands into sand, gravel and rods. That is what he calls development.

Where in the civilise society with perfect systems and structures do you have one person playing drummer and dancer?

For goodness sake, let Jammeh stop bragging about development after all the stealing and killings never known before in Gambia.

I vehemently condemned the celebration of a military coup. This is just sending a nagative massage to african military personnels, a perception that if its well in Gambia , then its ok and possible anywhere else.

You are not worthy to be called prince. You are the reason why dictatorships flourish in Africa. Shame on you, you should be ashamed of yourself. This regime will drop its axe on your head. No lie!

Correct Sis O,

but how much of the achievements you named are really a result of the revolution.
15 years is a long period and on a global scale there were huge changes to, even in the west (mobiles, IT, etc). So maybe some of the developments would have taken place without a 'revolution'.

Im not sure but a lot of the infrastructure developments you mentioned are financed by western governments (EU, UK, Taiwan, Cuba,...) and a lot of them are sponsored by hundreds of NGO's (schools, hospitals and health centers, etc.

Regards
