"In an open society, nobody is above scrutiny and criticism. Responsible scrutiny or criticism must be based on facts, good faith and the promotion of fair play and justice."

Well this is exactly what I was driving towards .The role of the journalist is already stipulated and noone is confusing the role of the journalist. The fact remains "what happens to the so called journalist when they go against the tenants of good journalism."

What about if everything done by these journalist is calculated and done strictly to undermine the state. My friends even if you are wearing a blind fold, we all know exactly what the role of the so called wanna be cyber jounalists and self imposed exilee's are.Their main goal is to overthrow the APRC regime and it's sad to see what people have been reduced to ,meanwhile compromising their credibility in the process.

Let me tell ya'll something the recent arrest of journalist in Gambia at present is very unacceptable, yet I will be the first person to tell you it was all calculated and the fact that the GPU-USA is a sister to the Gambia Press Union is a total turn off for me.

These are people that have proven beyond reasonable doubt that they cannot be trusted and their goal is clearly stated . Do you think undermining the state in the name of journalism is the solution to our problems?.

The constitution clearly states the role of the journalist and it also clearly protects it's citizens Rights .when you open your mouth and questioin them about SLANDER or Violating the constitution they run and hide under the cloak of Journalism as an exchuse for their mischevious behaviour.

Yeah right brothers!!! so what ya'll telling me is that as long as you claim to be a journalist like my man Dalton ,Pa Nderry and company ,it gives you an exchuse to abuse the basic rights of citizens. I personally think ya'll a bit confused about the realities and the Law.

What the American and British Ambassdors are failing to understand is that, the problem is bigger than it seems ,it's not just about arresting the journalist for critising the President ,it's about who they are associated with. The question is if the GPU Usa is a sister to GPU-Gambia and the same Gambia Press Union is not worried about the unethical approach of their counterparts questions their reliability also.

GPU Gambia is made up of Key Known opposition members and I think in the process they have come to compromise their stance. As controversial as the arrests of the journalist in Gambia is ,the issue at hand is more complicated due to conflicts of interest.................................................Peace

I am Jebel Musa better yet rock of Gibraltar, either or,still a stronghold and a Pillar commanding direction
