Bizarre news out of Guinea where we had our famous witch hunters from to cleanse our country of witches and wizards. Now I read of strange encounters on this link.Africa of mystic values and superstition reigning day in day out whilst else where others are forging ahead with scientific progress. Is this due to lack of education or is it due to manipulation of the public by certain charlatans, out to gain ? I wonder !

I think that these beliefs are strongly held by people and we all know that rumours spread like wildfire (no pun intended!) in African societies,it would be better I suggest, if the environmentalists accepted this, instead of saying burning fires is wrong,to suggest perhaps that burning tyres that produce black smoke is wrong after all is the devil not black, therefore he must like black smoke, the devil sprits cannot stand the sweet smell of the smoke of aromatics heated by charcol burners,Everyone's problem solved, the believers are happy, the environmentalists are happy, the place smells better !!

You probably will not believe me but when I wrote black I was in no way thinking of the black man,but of the Black Arts i.e. devil worship and the like, never heard of Red Arts in any context. I know that you were making a joke and your comments were not serious |
