This is music to my ears "in the absence of the rule of law, there cannot be any peace" Actions speak louder that words so we will be watching. I hope and pray the Gambia becomes a champion of human rights, freedom and the rule of law again. This was a status that we were well known for during the PPP era. Development and freedom are partners; it is hard to achievement development without freedom.

Ebou4th ,thanks once again for reemphasizing the importance of the rule of law in attaining a peaceful society. The failures of the justice system in the Gambia can best be attributed to the calm nature of Gambians .
Prior to the recent happenings in Gambia ,We really never utilized the justice system, instead everything was worked out before getting to the courts. Personally this is what i think led to the legacy of the PPP regime being champions of human rights.
Gambians are evolving and becoming very complicated nowadays, and i really doubt the justice system was prepared for what it had coming it's way neither did the creole speakers at the police stations ,hence we are were we are........................................Peace
