I now know the meaning of these letters |
"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.

It's gonna be totally up to his lawyer to look out for the best interest of his client. The justice system in Gambia as we are all aware of, is in total chaos. We are aware of the fact that it's not an easy fix and will take time to correct , but it does not excuse going against the constitution. It's just as criminal, the fact is whether he is convicted of false publication or not which personally i deem fit for it's indeed very malicious to report a story that has no basis or fact...............................................Peace

The recent shake up at the Ministries and civil service shows how dedicated President Jammeh is in achieving a professional workforce. Unless you are unaware of the facts within the civil service ,as of recent government has made major strides and progress towards macroeconomic stability which led to a growth that has been unimaginable due to all the obstacles they had to deal with .
For the past three years or so they have been engaged in a complete transformation of their fiscal policies and structural reforms which triggered the massive growth in the economy. Regardless of how Jammeh is being judged so far he is going the right direction, and personally i feel the house cleaning at the Justice department was overdue. Its a shame to have people who call them selves lawyers and solicitors being so incompetent.
The Gambian Justice system has turned into a complete mockery and am not talking about the laws that were set up to govern the citizens. Am talking about JUSTICE ,"THE RIGHT DECISION ", Its pretty Obvious That there is no perfect justice system on earth and there never will be as long as there are imperfect people .The fact is our own biased attitudes affect the way we view the rightness in a decision as in the case of Fatou Jaw Manneh ,Judgement's need to be consistent but as Gambians we have a way of viewing or distorting the answer so that it best fits our prejudices.
The Gambian civil service needs a complete overhaul and it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out ,starting from the backlogs of cases at the court houses to the excessive negligence at all police stations in the Gambia ,It's a shame the Police don't even know what their roles are, instead both the police and military use their authority to abuse the rights of the citizenry. This is mainly due to lack of proper training and understanding of the law.
If atleast Gambians can trust in the Justice system, everything else will fall in place, this i can assure you .In every modern society the rule of law is the order of the day , It's only in Gambia that you will hear, lets "Masala" .
You can sit here and blame Jammeh for all the failures in the civil service but the TRUTH still remains,Why would any institution fail if all the risks are assessed by supposed Masters degree holders and Dr's. It's pretty amazing the exchuses Gambians can come up with for being incompetent.
The messed up thing about the civil service is the fact that instead of being innovative and productive most of these professionals are busy with in fights and power struggle, The problem is the fact that the Government cannot accommodate them so they turn to eliminating each other, Everyone wants what someone else has and is praying on a daily basis for their bosses to get fired so they could accomodate their greed and needs.
The civil service is in the mess it is in because Gambians are dependents of the state ,They will try to get rich off the state instead of earning it the hard way. They all wanna be called directors and managers once they have a little education.
Regardless of all these obstacles the growth trend is very positive and clearly shows that the guys at the finance department are obviously doing their job under the leadership of a mogul. The growth shows a trend of sustainable development no doubt about that. The house cleaning will help the various departments restructure and reorganize ,and that is with the right leaders........................................................................Peace
