The Janha-foundation in Atlanta GA has lunched a voluntary project as
part of its efforts in helping the less fortunate gambian students back home.

The first phase of this project include the gathering of pens, pencils, books, erasers etc..

For those interested in helping, contact Ebou Janha at ejanha@spsu.edu

Remember the little we put together could make a huge difference.

Mr Knodorong, thank you for your prompt and considerate response. In regards to the Janha-foundation, neither the founder Ebou Janha nor the foundation itself has any thing to do with Sara Janha. The last name JANHA is a common name in The Gambia. This EFEC project is part of our efforts in lending hands to the less fortunate kids in The Gambia. Experiencing what it takes to go to school in the Gambia, represents the driven force behind this project.

I am in the process of registering this organization as a local NGO in the Gambia. For the website I am personally building it thus, it is stiil undergoing construction. Nonetheless, you can link up at www.janha.com.

Again we are just trying to help to the best of our ability out of good will.

I look forward to hearing from you as we strive to give back to our needy community.

Thanks for your time

Ebou Janha

If this organisation is in the United States you are better off registering it as a 501(c3) tobe able to raise funds for causes like this. I will be interested to help. But please keep administrative costs down and have a working system on the ground.

Dont give monies to individuals to manage it. There are a lot of problems like that and i have experiencies. Good luck. Keep us posted on progress. Education is key.
