On the 26th of March 2009, our association together with other minority groups in the City of Coventry will have an audiance with the Lord Mayor of the city. The event will take place from 6pm on till late. I will be leading a three member team to the event. Any member of our asociation interested in attending the occasion can contact me as soon as possible. I have already done the confirmation of our attending the event and our dietary requirement will be met. Remember, it is an avanue for us to let the authorities be aware of our work. It is a great opportunity to build partnership and links with other groups and funders. The only requirement is that, our members should dress in our traditional national dress. I hope this means karambuba and other Gambian traditional cloths. We had an executive meeting this past Sunday, some have volunteer but the door is still open.
