In this speech to Democratic lawmakers, Barack Obama quoted St. Augustine as saying that: "pray as if everything depended on God, and work as if everything depended on you".
It sounds similar to the Hadith (Muhammed's words and conversations): "pray (seek Allah) as if you are going to die tomorrow, and work (seek this world) as if you will never die". Remarkable, isn't it?

Kay

The truth has always been the same. It never changes no matter what language you speak. 1+1 is always 2.

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.”

Kay, the quote you attibuted to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is actually not a hadith but a quote attributed to Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba of Touba.

"...Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest..." Sura Al-Rad (Chapter 13, Verse 28)

...Gambian by birth, Muslim by the grace of Allah...

Well, Well .so what has drawing this two too near?

Similar words and person like heaven and the earth as we see all take the same, if one does not understand this as doubly saying,

More will come from him, which will be more independently& clearer than previous one.
True is always the same as milk in milk, which acutely does not matter, whether it is from ship or caw.

Mansasulu I urge that you check your facts again. The statement I paraphrase (not a direct quote) above is an authentic Hadith based on my believe and information. If I had not stayed too long in the "White man's" country (no offense Snuggels and Turk) I could have given you the exact source. I used to possess a copy of that hadith book. But ask Santafara, whatever he says I will stand by that.

Kay and Mansasulu,

It could well be a hadith. I can't pinpoint the exact hadith, but i have a feeling, that i once read a hadith that says, live on this earth as if you will die tomorrow and also live on his earth as you will never die.

Kay, I think it is a fabricated (not authentic) hadith.

"...Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest..." Sura Al-Rad (Chapter 13, Verse 28)

...Gambian by birth, Muslim by the grace of Allah...
